Usage:

Improve health, support organs

Meaning:

This mantra is contained in the Taittiriya-brahamana, kathaka (10.3.8). It entreats the natural elements to sustain the organs and functions of the human system. It can be chanted by or to assist persons suffering from ill health.

Agnirme vāc(h)i śritaha | vāgghrdaye |
hrdayam mayi | ahamamrte | amrtam brahmani ||
"Let fire support my speech. Let my speech be linked to my heart. Let my heart be linked to the conscious self (ātmā). Let my ātmā be linked to the eternal force within me and may this eternal force inside me be linked to the Highest Force."

"Let the air outside support my prāna. Let my prāna be linked to my heart. Let my heart be linked to the conscious self (ātmā). Let my ātmā be linked to the eternal force within me and may this eternal force inside me be linked to the Highest Force."
